Poetry Aloud Finals

Congratulations to Jack McMonagle who has qualified for the National Finals of Poetry Aloud. Two hundred students took part in the semi finals and Jack is one of 8 students who has qualified for the finals. 200. Well done to all our students who took part in Poetry Aloud this year and well done again to Jack on such a fine achievement.
LC1 & LCA1 Students attend Careers Fair in Killarney

LC1 & LCA1 students attended the Careers Fair organised by Career Guidance teachers. Over 100 students attended the event. They had the opportunity to visit information stands from many universities both Irish and English. The army, navy and gardai were all present on the day. Both parents and students also had opportunities to attend information talks the evening prior to the main event.

Senior soccer team who beat Hazelwood college 6-3. We have qualified top of our group with three wins from three. Sheagh O Connor got a hatrick today!!! Awaiting the draw for the next round!
First Year Girls Basketball Tournament

Well done to all the first year girls involved in the basketball today. They played great basketball in their matches but unfortunately faced stronger teams. However, the girls showed great promise for the future. Ms. Delaney and Padric were very proud of their display. Well done to all involved.

Ar an 14ú de mhí na Samhna bhí Gaeilge 24 ar síul ar fud na tíre . Ghlac ár ndaltaí leis an dúshlán chun Gaeilge a labhairt I rith an lae ar scoil agus sa bhaile. Mar chuid de na himeachtaí mhúin lucht na hidirbhliana rince Gaelach do na daltaí sa chéad bhliain . Bhain gach duine súp as an lá agus tá súil againn gur tháinig feabhas ar ár nGaeilge labhartha chomh maith.

Congratulations to our Junior Girls Football Team who had a fantastic win against Castletroy CC. All the girls put in a powerful performance and should be very proud. A special thanks to Aine Enright Aoife O'Brien, Suin Walsh and Ms. Barrett for managing the team.

All the little kids and young families who packed in to the Tarbert Bridewell venue on the Tuesday evening of the midterm break had a terrific experience, They got a perfect flavour of the excitement of Halloween and were part of a top class Gruffalo Puppet Show Performance. We are proud of our students who made this possible by volunteering. They showed great community spirit by becoming involved with the show. Well done to one and all .
Christmas Shoe Box Appeal

Congratulations to all involved in the Christmas Shoe Box appeal. There was a huge response this year. Students of all year groups and teachers were bringing their brightly wrapped Christmas boxes to school all week.. The boxes will be collected next week and the picture represents just a small number of the boxes collected by the school community.
