LC1 French students enjoyed an afternoon of laughter in the library with Mme.Grandchance and her unsuspecting assistants - an agent de police and an aspiring singer (chanteuse), whose daring plan to 'attaquer une banque' had hilarious consequences. The troop from French Theatre for Schools persuaded 7 of our brave LC1 students to volunteer to help out with the production! A laugh a minute, it was a 'super amusant 'way to spend our final school hour on Wednesday. .

What an exciting day for Tarbert Comprehensive as Past Pupils Prof Michael Walsh (Professor of Biomedical Engineering) Dr John Mulvihill (a Biomedical Engineer) and Dr Pat Kiely (a Cancer Biologist) all working working in University College Limerick came to the school to chat to our LC1 & LC2 students. All spoke of the possibilities available to students not just in UL but in general. The message was reassuring to the Leaving Certs who are soon to be faced with CAO applications. They spoke of the opportunities available to the students not just in the sciences and engineering but in life in general. Our TY students exhibiting at the BT Young Scientist also got the opportunity to speak with them and were given good advice on how they might improve their projects before they get to Dublin. . It was a proud day for the Comp to have three lecturers/researchers (in fields such as renal dialysis, cancer research, to the effects of concussion) help open our renovated science labs and hopefully a significant day for our students in showing them the possibilities that lie ahead for them .
