Cross Country
Well done to our athletics team that competed in the Leinster Schools Cross Country finals in Santry on Wednesday. The girls battled windy conditions as they came up against the best in the province. Elizabeth Farrelly and Emma Tisdall had good individual performances. Our junior team of Roisin Hanley Byrne, Leah Tisdall, Niamh Ryan and Alecia Maughan finished a fantastic sixth place with Roisin finishing a brilliant fifteenth. Congratulations to Roisin who will now go on to represent OLS at the All Ireland finals in March!
Playground Physics
Ms Flood's Fifth Year Physics class explored the fun of playground physics yesterday morning. They had a great time identify the different elements present in the playground.

Swimming
Well done to our eight swimmers representing OLS at the Leinster Schools Swimming competition at the weekend. A great performance by our students Zoe Browne, Caitlinn Comerford, Alison Dillon, Hannah-Rose Duff, Ruby Marley, Dea Moloney, Laura Potts and Eva Walshe. Everyone had great swims and lots of personal bests. Congratulations to Laura P2 who won a silver medal in the 400m freestyle. A big congratulations to the relay team of Laura Potts, Ruby Marley, Zoe Browne and Eva Walsh who came 3rd in the 200m Medley and won first place in the 200m freestyle.
The OLS team were also in the running for the overall cup and only beaten by a few points. They came in second overall in the girls 15-16 category. A great day of swimming for all, well done! Also thank you to Ms Doarn for going to support the girls at the gala on the weekend.
Junior Camogie
Comiserations to our Junior Camogie team who came up short in their All Ireland Quarter final against Naomh Cormac on Saturday. The girls showed great teamwork and determination but ultimately, the mountain was too high to climb.
A huge thank you to every member of the panel for their dedication this year. Every Wednesday morning at 7:45am in wind, rain or snow, the girls showed up and put in the hard work at training sessions. We are already looking forward to next year!
