They say the case is closed, but is there more to the story? A gripping and intriguing read, full of heart. surprise and danger.
The Wheel of Time - The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan has been recommended by Emily Brady P1.
"I really enjoyed this book and I think you will too if you're a fan of fantasy and adventure! There are fantastic characters, villainous beasts and meddling witches and what is what was and what will be may yet fall under the shadow"
The Culture club hosted a bake sale in aid of UNICEF recently. Culture Club members brought in baked goodies from home and by the end of the bake sale we were sold out! The bake sale was hosted in St. Joseph’s hall and there was an amazing turn out. It was fantastic to see the OLS community come together and help raise money for a very good cause. With the help of Ms. Filaih and Mr. O’Rourke the bake sale was a great success and raised €600 in total! All proceeds went to UNICEF to aid the Middle East.

What’s On Next Week
The CAT 4 Aptitude Test
On Wednesday next week, TY1 and TY2 have their CAT 4 Aptitude Test during Periods 1, 2, and 3. The CAT 4 Aptitude test assesses a student's ability to reason in key areas that support educational development and academic attainment. These results are very relevant in making college courses and career decisions. They are used to help aid students in making their subject choices for the big LC. For information on where to go, please look at your Careers Google Classroom.
Reading Week
Next week is Reading Week, so please remember to bring in a book for some DEAR time during class! TYs will have a guest speaker of author, blogger, and podcaster Ciara Geraghty, whose title, ‘Queen Bee’ has recently been nominated for the Irish Book Awards ‘Popular Fiction Book of the Year’. A huge treat and an opportunity to meet someone at the top of their field - come prepared with questions!
