As part of our School Self Evaluation for 2018 in Our Lady's we are focusing on the area of formative feedback. Formative feedback is feedback that is learner-centred and forward facing. It centers around acknowledging what a student has achieved or done well in a subject or piece of work, and identifying key steps for improvement and progression. Formative feedback is a key tenet of assessment for learning (AFL).
Our Midterm Progress Reports for 2018 have been designed around this principle. Rather than offering grades and focusing on summative assessment, the Our Lady's Midterm Progress Reports for 2018 will focus on what each student has achieved, their effort to date, and steps needed for further progress.
Midterm progress reports for Senior Cycle students are now available on Vsware. For guidance on accessing your daughter's report, you can refer to the following user guide: support.vsware.ie/parental-access/parents-guide-to-vsware.

Well done to Lauren Darcy, M5 who represented Ireland at the weekend in u18 basketball. This is a superb achievement. The team played a three-game series against Luxembourg in preparation for the European Championships in July.
We wish Lauren and the team the very best in their campaign and will be following their progress on basketballireland.ie.

6th Year
Leaving Certificate candidates have been given their PIN letter. It is extremely important that the candidates register as soon as possible on the new Candidate Self Service Portal for 2019.
The application to view scripts, the viewing of scripts marked online, the appeal application and the appeal results services are being provided exclusively within this Portal for this year.
If your daughter was absent on the day the letters were given out and has still not collected hers from Reception, please ensure she does so as soon as possible.
Many thanks.
Best wishes...
