Some of our Rugby and sports enthusiasts went to Donnybrook Stadium on Saturday evening to support the Irish Women's Rugby team against France. While the match did not go in our favour, the girls had a great time supporting the Irish team. We were also part of the record breaking attendance of 6047, the highest number to attend a women's rugby match. It is fantastic for our students to see women playing sport at the top level.

Library classes had a competitive edge as students took part in the World Book Day table quiz and lunchtime activities included Blind Date With A Book and Match the Selfie to the Shelfie. We also had a gallery of book reviews by the TY Philosophers on display and staff got involved in Bring A Book Buy A Book in aid of St Michael's house. Sincere thanks to all the students and staff who helped to make the day such a success.

Congratulations to the Tech4U TY group who were nominated for the Garda Youth Award. This award recognises the differences that the youth of today are making in their community. Tech4U enabled the elderly in the community to understand, interpret and use their technical devices and to enable the community to communicate with family and friends that may have moved away. The club was run with great enthusiasm and many congratulated the girls on the success of the club. Thank you to Alison Herbert (L4) and Claire Gill (C4) and Ms Cantwell who represented the group on the night of the awards.
