To the OLS community,
Congratulations on completing your 1st week of remote learning! I hope everyone is well and managing to keep their spirits high during this challenging time. During these remarkable times it is important to utilize the extraordinary technology we have available to us to stay connected with our friends and families. Communicating with our friends who we are so accustomed to seeing everyday is vital in looking after our wellbeing and protecting our mental health. Daily exercise also plays a significant role in protecting our wellbeing and maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Navigating these unprecedented times can be difficult, particularly when it comes to distance learning. Try your best to keep on top of school work and deadlines and don't hesitate to ask for help when needed. Remember to remain positive, follow the social distancing guidelines and be the best citizens we can be during these times of uncertainty.
We can remain connected with our OLS community this morning with the help of our remote house meeting challenge at 12:10, which promises to be an exciting experience... House from Home!

Well done to all on the great efforts to keep schoolwork going this week. All students were emailed a survey link today so that we can do a check-in about what's going well for students and what they may need more help with. Please ensure this survey is filled out so that all voices are heard. If you did not get the link, please email remotelearning@olschool.ie. Many thanks.
Happy Friday!

Great job everyone on the exercise yesterday. The PE Google Classrooms were hopping :) If it didn't happen for you yesterday on the exercise front, make today the day you get going. If you're working on a Chrome browser you can download a cool movement break extension, Move It, to remind you to keep limber while you work! Good for parents working on line too! See pic attached to get the gist. Link here: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/move-it/kopilngnmfklhhjocdfdlokmodibcbmk
Friday's thought for the day is that 'Friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you know they are there.' Your social distancing is no doubt impacting your socialising but remember to keep in touch with your pals and classmates. It can be lonely out of the hustle and bustle of school. Stay connected. Stay safe. Stay safe on line.
