The 5th Year Home Economics class enjoyed a culinary master class with Eoin Cluskey from Bread 41 who taught them how to make their own bread using the freshest of ingredients. Eoin spoke to the class about the importance of culinary skills, organic produce and additive free food.

Talk on Islam

On Tuesday the 2nd years were lucky to have a member from the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland. The 2nd years are studying Islam as part of their Junior cycle course. They gained a lot from the talk, learning about the origins of Islam, how Muslims pray and the importance of Mecca and Ramadan in a Muslim's life. We thank Amilah for this enriching experience!

TY Funfair in aid of Irish Cancer Society and Women’s Aid

On Monday the 28th of March all first and second year students will have the opportunity to attend a funfair organised by the TY Enterprise classes in Joseph’s Hall. There will be a range of games to play with yummy prizes to win and an ice cream stall for a tasty treat. Games will cost from 50c to play and we suggest that students bring €5 to spend at the funfair. All proceeds will go to the Irish Cancer Society and Women’s Aid. Please bring change if at all possible. We look forward to a fun filled afternoon in aid of two great causes. Many thanks.
Leinster Schools Interprovincial Swimming Gold

Well done to Laura Potts P1 who competed for Leinster schools in the Irish Interprovincial Swimming Championships on Sunday and won two gold medals in the relays and an individual silver medal in the 100m freestyle.
