We are delighted to launch our Inaugural Cyber Week this week. A special thank you to Lily O'Brien in B3 for designing the logo for the week, which you can see attached below.
Each day, there will be a theme with activities centred in and around that theme. Today, our theme is Citizenship.
Digital Citizenship refers to the ability to engage positively, critically and competently in the digital environment, drawing on the skills of effective communication and creation, to practice forms of social participation that are respectful of human rights and dignity through the responsible use of technology. At OLS, we all take a stand against Online Hate, Harassment, Aggression and Cyberbullying.
To start the week off, we were delighted to award badges to our Digital Champions today during the Affirmation Ceremony. We would like to remind parents of the DCU lecture taking place at 3pm today on Cyberbullying. If you have not yet registered, you can do here. We will have expert lecturer Wayne Denner giving a lecture to students later on in the week.
