As per calendar, the TY Parent Teacher meeting will take place from 4.15 to 6.45pm today. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with teachers individually from 4.15 to 6pm. Teachers are available from 6 to 6.45pm to discuss various subjects, Core, sampling and TY specific. Patron and advertising forms will be available to support our musical Voulez Vous. The Enterprise class will be running a raffle. Looking forward to seeing everyone then.
Civies Day in aid of PATH raises 1130 Euro

Well done to Lee Fleming 6th Year LCA for organising a Civies Day in aid of the charity PATH who work with the Homeless. The Civies Day raised a massive 1130 Euro. Thank you to all students and staff who contributed to this successful fundraiser and very worthy cause. Ms Mills.

3D are working to promote the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal this year. 3D with the support of their teacher Ms Kenny are raising awareness of poverty in the developing world. 3D are appealing to everyone to return as many boxes as possible after midterm. Please help us give a present to someone who otherwise would not receive anything. Help us change a child’s world.

Reminder to all our budding authors and particularly TY students who are studying Hazel Gaynor's The Girl Who Came Home. The Kilcullen Author Panel is on this evening from 6.30 to 8.30pm in Fallons. Looking forward to hearing from Hazel Gaynor, Orla Mcalinden, Marie McDonald, Amy Gaffney and Lissa Oliver about their journeys to becoming authors.

Last chance to enter the TY Mini Company "Pick & Mix Cosmetics " raffle. The prize is a hamper filled with three scented candles, two bath bombs, two packets of bath salts and a soap bar which are all handmade. Tickets are available in the foyer at lunchtime €1 per strip or €2 for three strips. Good luck!

Breda from Team Hope gave fascinating insights to the meaning and value of this initiative for the recipients. 3D are appealing to everyone to return as many boxes as possible over the next week in time for shipping. 'Marketplace' pitching ideas for Make A Wish Events

TY students are using the 'Marketplace' technique to pitch their ideas for Make A Wish awareness and fundraising events. Very convincing arguments are being made in support of the many ideas. More information on the events selected will follow soon.

Congratulations to our TY students Alice O'Mahony, Amelia Coates, Amy Douglas King and Katie Cahill who received their certificates and pins upon completion of their training as Facilitators and Peace Advocate Group Leaders at the award ceremony in The UN Peace School, The Curragh. Sincere thanks to Newbridge and Naas Rotary Clubs for arranging this event. Thank you especially to Jean and Keith Best for designing and delivering this wonderful programme.
