To ensure punctual arrival at the 3 Arena, all TY students need to be in school by 8am tomorrow Tuesday. The bus company have warned us about heavy traffic on the M7 and N7. Go to the assembly hall first for the roll before departure. Thank you

TY students had a fantastic day at Cycle Against Suicide in the 3Arena today. There were a variety of presentations about well being, self care and resilience. Students particularly enjoyed the performances by Kodaline and The Academics.

Our sincere thanks to Kathleen, Bridge and Anne who gave so generously of their time to teach TY students how to knit teddy bears for children who have had heart surgery. It was so much fun and we look forward to sending our bears to their new homes. If you would like to knit a teddy (or teddies!) please drop your donations to the reception of Cross and Passion College. For those who do not knit but would still like to support this cause, you can sponsor a bear and name them!Suggested minimum donation is €2. Thank you also to Heart Children Ireland for their work helping Heart Children and their families

Star Bakers crowned! Bake off success in aid of Temple Street Children's hospital

Congratulations to all our participants in today's bake off in aid of Temple Street Children's hospital. Congratulations to our Star Bakers Erica King Brunnell, Olivia Crawford and Megan McGann, runners up Kate Browne and Ali Grimes, Best Brownie Leona Kavanagh, Esther Petit Frere and Ben Farrell. Judges also complimented Abby Phelan and Leah Mallon on their beautifully made banana bread. Orlaith Beattie and Emma Ward received praise for the flavour of their cupcakes. Thanks to Rebecca Walsh and Iona Lee Parnell for handling sales of all these beautiful cakes. Thanks also to our fantastic judges Ms Harney, Ms O'Neill, Ms Grier Gray, Ms JA O'Connell and Mr Potterton for giving so generously of their time. Thanks to the bakers who donated the ingredients and to our anonymous donor for the Easter Egg prizes. €145 was raised. Thank you to everyone who supported this worthy cause

Bikes for Africa Newbridge Rotary Club

TY students Katie Cahill and Alice O'Mahony were delighted to support Newbridge Rotary Club at their launch of their Bikes for Africa scheme at Kilcullen Recycling Centre this afternoon. People are being asked to bring their unwanted bikes to the centre. They will be refurbished before being transported to Africa for distribution to children so they may attend school. Well done to all involved in this worthwhile project.
5L Mini Company Task

Well done to 5L on a very successful Mini Company Task. Their company was called Activium 12 and involved first year students taking part in challenges like the popular tv show The Cube. It was very much enjoyed by all students and a huge success overall. Well done to all 5L students and their teachers Ms McDonnell and Ms Scully.
