We were delighted to welcome Clare Mander our Young SVP Youth Development Officer to our final TY 18-19 SVP class yesterday. Clare assisted students in reflecting on their experiences and awarded certificates of participation. Sincere thanks to Clare for her support and guidance with our social actions.
Gender Studies Workshops

As part of our Development Education Day, Hugh from Self Help Afrcia facilitated a series of workshops for TY and Second year students on Gender Studies. Students were invited to consider gender roles, expectations and gender specific experiences. It gave students valuable insights to their experiences in society and the opportunity to explore these issues further.

Sincere thanks to TY students , Ms Grier Gray and Ms Carty for hosting a Development Education Day. Students showcased a variety of exhibts, posters and interactive activites. Students from all year groups engaged very well and many were surprised to learn of the often devastating impact our actions have on the natural world and the creatures in it.
Sixth Year Graduation Mass Preparation

Sixth Year students are working hard with their RE teachers to prepare for their graduation mass on Thursday. We look forward to a meaningful ceremony celebrating six years education in Cross and Passion College and the transition into the next life stage for our students.
U/14 Girls Leinster Champions

A huge congratulations to the girls team who were crowned Leinster Champions today after a brilliant victory against Loretto Balbriggan in Lucan Sarsfields today. CPC started the game rapidly and Lead by 13 at half time. The girls kicked on in the second half and all that was left to do was for captain Ella Moylan to lift the cup. This was a huge victory for the school and a clear example of the talent amongst the girls. Special thanks to their coaches Ms.Sexton and Ms.Murphy. Special mention to Edwina Birchall who was awarded player of the game.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 21st) our under 14 girls team take on Loretto Balbriggan in the Leinster Final. The game throws in at 12:30 in Lucan Sarsfields GAA club. All support from parents would be appreciated.
Kilcullen 700 Art Exhibition

A selection of work by CPC art students can be seen in Kilcullen Community Library, An Tearmann, Woodbine Books and The Final Furlong, as part of the 700th anniversary of the building of the first bridge in Kilcullen. A variety of mediums and creative ideas reflects the wealth of talent amoung our students. Well done to all involved.
