Kilcullen 700 Art Exhibition Opening

CPC art students successfully submitted their art work into the Kilcullen 700 Art Exhibition. Their work will be on display in various premises through out the town. This exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to display their talent to a wider audience. The exhibition opening is in Crean's Place at 7pm 16th May. All are welcome.
TY Orienteering Day

We are looking forward to a great day orienteering on Monday 20th. All TY students must wear clothes and runners they don't mind getting dirty, bring a rain jacket, bring a large packed lunch with plenty of drinks including a flask if they wish to have a hot drink. Buses depart at 9am returning at 4pm. Thank you

Congratulations to TY student Cassie Clarke winner of the Virtue Ethics Award in the Irish Young Philosophers Awards UCD for her project on The Pursuit of Happiness. Thanks to Cassie's Philosophy teacher Ms Scully for her guidance and support.

Good luck to Cassie Clarke, Iona Lee Parnell and Alice O'Mahony who are representing Cross and Passion College in the Irish Young Philosophers Award in UCD today. Cassie ponders The Pursuit of Happiness, Iona investigated the question Can one Life be more valuable than the other? and Alice explored if Humans are predictable. All projects are of a very high standard and thanks to Ms Scully for her guidance throughout the year in Philosophy class.
Keep a lookout for the interesting messages hidden in the most unlikely places around the school (check your water!) Come to us on Development Education Day 21st May to receive your prize!!

Gaelbhratach Flag for CPC

In a busy last couple of weeks for the staff and students there were further celebrations at the ‘Bronnadh na mBratach’ Gaelbhratach Ceremony on 21/5/19. This is the second Gaelbhratach flag the school has achieved. Included in the photos are Katherine Howe-Hall (2nd yr), Rihannon Murray, Iona Lee-Parnell, Rebecca Walsh and Abbie Phelan (all from TY).

CPC Awards Day 2019

We had the chance last week to celebrate some of the achievements of our students at our end of year awards ceremonies. The atmosphere of joy for each other in the celebrations was most noticeable. All Ireland Bronze Medalist- James Deane

A huge congratulations to James Deane in 2nd Year who won a bronze medal in the All-Ireland Track and Field Championships yesterday in Tullamore. James competed in the Junior Boys Discus and his final throw of 38.22 was enough to win the Bronze. Well done James on a massive achievement.

On June 23rd Camphill community will host a charity event. There will be a picnic in the Camphill gardens with acoustic music, song and poetry.
