On Thursday 30th of November our 2nd year retreat day took place. The boys took part in a number of workshops and activities which ultimately hoped to allow them the time and space to explore their relationship with themselves, with others and with God. Students took part in meditation, a workshop on our growth mindset initiative, team building activities and faith exploration sessions. In the afternoon students were accompanied by staff on a walk out to the Holy Well in Tobernault. Here students had the opportunity to explore this ancient place of worship and take part in a short service which involved offering prayers by tying their intentions, written on little slips of fabric, to a tree and lighting candles for those who need our prayers at this time. We were blessed with beautiful sunshine for our walk and an enjoyable day was had by all.

Throughout the months of October and November our 3rd year class groups went on their annual retreats to Ballintubber Abbey Co. Mayo. The boys took part in a number of group activities and meditation which focused on our ideas about ourselves and the pressures we can be under to conform to others expectations. The boys also walked part of the Tochar Pilgrim path and thoroughly enjoyed getting mucky and having fun along the way. Overall a very enjoyable and enriching experience was had by all who took part.
