After School Study
Created : 02 Nov 2020, 12:13 PM
Archived : 02 Jan 2021, 12:00 AM
Dear Parent/Guardian After School Study has commenced since Monday 5th of October. You should be aware of the following when enrolling your son in this programme: 1) Study will begin at 4.05 Monday to Thursday and 1.25 Friday sharp in Rooms 206 and 207. Students must present themselves at this time. We will not accept students who have “gone down the town” and may have been mixing with other students. This will cause severe problems for subsequent contact tracing. If students have a medical appointment or other issue that will cause a late start then this should be emailed to summerhillafterschoolstudy@gmail.com. Similarly students that need to leave early should send a brief email containing the student’s name, year (several students have the same name) and time they wish to leave (important for our contact tracing records) 2) To minimize contact with money, students should pay at least 5 days in advance ie 10 euro for students attending for one hour per session and 15 euro for students attending two hours per session. Money should be preferably in a sealed envelope. Students who wish to pay further in advance will be facilitated. We will also offer a discounted term/half term rate on request. This should be presented in an envelope with the student’s name and year written on the front. Days will be carried over when students do not attend and a full record of attendance and times that students were present will be maintained. This will include where students were sitting for the purposes of contact tracing. 3) Students should sanitize their hands before commencing study, when going to the toilet and upon returning from the toilet. Sanitizer will be provided. 4) Students cannot leave their seat without permission and should not exchange books, copies etc. Chromebooks will be provided. These can only be used for study. Chromebooks must be sanitized before and after use in the presence of the supervisor. They should not be exchanged with other students. 5) The school’s Code of Behaviour continues to apply at all times. Students should submit a signed note from a Parent/Guardian in their journal if they wish to commence study. This must be presented at the first session they attend. If you have any further queries or to check your sons attendance at study email. summmerhillafterschoolstudy@gmail.com or Ph 0863426876.
