Congratulations is due also to Na Fianna who won the Division 6 Féile hurling title this morning. They played Pine Forest Gaels in the final. Brian Conroy (1 Carolan) is a member of the team. Well done to Brian and all involved.

Congratulations to St Oliver Plunkett's Eoghan Ruadh who won the division 2 hurling féile today, They beat Naomh Olaf in the final on a score of 2-06 to 0-04. Well done to all the players and management.

The U14 hurling team will have a game tomorrow, Thursday, v Terenure College. Throw in is at 1.30pm. All players are asked to meet at the changing rooms at 12.20pm.
1916 Commemoration play

St Declan's History and English departments are staging their 1916 commemoration play next Thursday and Friday 21st & 22nd April. The play will begin at 7.30pm. Admission is €5.00. Tickets are available through the school office or Ms Tierney. All support is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to all who supported the staging of Playboy of the Western World in the school library last Thursday and Friday night. A special word of thanks to the Draiocht players for once again choosing St Declan's as a venue for the play and so generously giving of their time and talent in support of the school. The parents' council have done great work in organising both nights and we are grateful to them for their continued fund-raising initiatives and encouragement.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is holding a clinic today, Sunday, from 12.30pm - 4.00pm in St Declan's College. The clinic takes place in the school gymnasium. All donors are encouraged to attend. Please bring a friend. Congratulations to Sean Donoghue who won the minor boys 2500m event at the Glo Health All-Ireland Schools and Irish Universities Cross-Country Championships which took place in the Showgrounds, Sligo yesterday. It is an outstanding achievement for Seán, his family and the school. This completes a clean sweep of titles as he won the West Leinster and Leinster titles earlier in the year.
