1st, 2nd and 3rd Years will finish school on Wednesday 29th May at 3:40pm.
 
Well done to all of our girls on an excellent year. We are very proud of them all.

Attention-6th Year Debs Tickets on Sale in the school May 27th at 1pm

Dear 6th Year students,
On Monday 27th of May at 1pm Debs Tickets will be sold just inside the front doors of the school.
The tickets cost sixty euro each. The Parents Association helps coordinate the event and will be present the whole night in the lobby area. This year the Debs will take place at the Clybaun Hotel.
Address: Clybaun Rd, Galway, H91 F62V on Wednesday 28th of August 2024. Parents are welcome to come for Tea/Coffee at 7pm so they can take pictures of their daughters and their friends before the event. The Group Photo will be taken at 7:45pm and Dinner will be served at 8pm.
The next opportunity to purchase the Deb tickets will be on June 21st at the Student Uniform and Book sale.
If you have any food allergies or dietary concerns please let us know at the time of purchasing the Deb Tickets so we can relay that information to the hotel staff..

As we approach the start of the Summer Tests for all students, we wish them good luck in the coming days.

Please note:

STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ABSENT THEMSELVES FOR 'STUDY' AT ANY POINT.

ALL STUDENTS MUST FOLLOW THE FULL NORMAL SCHOOLDAY TIMETABLE.

FAO parents of children with Autism

The Social and Health Education Programme, SHEP, have recently been in contact regarding support groups for family members of children with autism.

 

They are running an online programme for 10 weeks, starting on the 20th of September via zoom. These sessions are run by two experienced SHEP facilitators who explore topics such as effective communication skills, what is helpful and unhelpful about a ‘diagnosis’, hopes and fears for your loved one along with much more.

 

The closing date for applications is the 20th May 2024 and there is a small fee required. SHEP have kindly asked if NCSE would consider sharing this course with parents and guardians of children with autism.

 

Attached is an information sheet, along with an application form for parents to complete.

Importanat: Information for families regarding School Transport Application Process for 2024/25 School Year

The Department of Education has published information for families regarding the school transport application process for the 2024/25 school year. 

The information can be found in the attached PDF letter and outlines the application process for both new and existing applications. It also contains information on eligibility, charges and pupils from the Ukraine. The letter also gives information on the Bus Éireann customer call centre that has been set up to assist families with any queries. 

Please note the closing date for new applications is this Friday, 26th April, and the deadline for all other applications is 7th June.

Class 4/1 and 4/2 were given a letter today regarding RSE classes taking place in school over the coming weeks.

Please ask your daughter for this letter as it contains information relating to these classes. 
 
A copy is attached for your convenience.
 
Class 4/3 have already participated in RSE classes and a letter was previously given out to your daughter regarding this.

1st Year Vaccinations

 

The HSE immunisation team will be coming to the school this Wednesday, April 10th, to administer vaccines to the 1st year students. 

 

 

1st year pupils should wear their PE uniform on that date for comfort
