There is a free webinar taking place next Tuesday the 14th of November at 7pm called The importance of sleep for our teenagers.  The main speaker is Lucy Wolfe and she will be giving some information and guidance around this topic.  Lucy is best known for the books she has written on sleep for young children, but she has prepared some very useful material specifically for this webinar and the parents of teenagers.

Comhairle na nÓg Youth Conference

Well done to the Taylor's Girls who represented the school so well at the recent Galway City Comhairle na nÓg Youth Conference. 
 
The feedback from the people organising the event was very positive and they identified our girls as true leaders who contribute positively to their community. 
 
 

 

U16 Connacht Athletics

Congratulations to Jennifer McCarthy who won the u16 Connacht Cross Country Championship on Saturday. 

In the same race Laura Campion finished in the top 12. Both results are fantastic as the field was incredibly strong.

 

The girls run for Galway City Harriers who also won the team event and will go forward to the All Irelands.

Well done girls!

Message to the J.C. Class of '23.

 
Firstly, well done on your results yesterday. I hope that you are happy with them. It was lovely to see so much excitment yesterday after your long wait for the results. 
 
For your and also your parents information, there is an appeals process, should you wish to pursue it for a subject.
 
There is a fee of 32 euro per subject payable to the SEC. The deadline to inform me and for you to have paid, is 5pm on Tuesday 24th October.
As the school is closed to students to that day, please arrange this before then in person with me. 
 
If you wish to appeal, you must come to me and I will take the details and give you the payment link for the SEC payment.
 
Please note, after being allowed to come to school today at 11am, the girls are back to normal tomorrow and should be in school on Friday for 8:50am as usual.

Good luck class of '23 - Exam Results!

We will hand out the results to the girls today during the last class in Rosary Hall, after which they will be able to celebrate their success with their peers and teachers. 

 

Candidates can also access their results online from 4pm and they will be given instructions on how to do so.

 

This is a long awaited and exciting day and we wish the girls all the best. 

 

The girls will be allowed to come to school on Thursday 19th October at 10:50am and can have a well deserved rest that morning.

Taylor's Girls make Irish U18 Squad

Congratulations to Lily Hynes and Aoibhin Connolly on making the Irish U18 basketball squad.

 

The squad will train together ahead of the European Championships next year, and their first training camp is over the October break.

 

They are the only 2 girls from Connacht to make the squad.

 

Well done on an amazing achievement.
