Dear Parents/Guardians
Hope you and your families are safe and well
To mark National Workplace Wellbeing Day- Fri 1st May, we have decided that there will be no online classes on Friday and staff will use this opportunity to plan collaboratively for the remainder of the school year.
Sports day had been scheduled to take place on Friday 8th May, and again, we have decided to replace online classes with suggestions of physical activities that can be undertaken by all students, subject to the Covid-19 restrictions. Further details will be communicated in the coming days.
Stay safe.

Dear Pupils, Parents/Guardians,
As we approach the season of Easter, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teachers and students for the magnificent way in which they have engaged with our distance learning efforts. Teachers have worked extremely hard at preparing lessons and providing regular work, corrections and feedback for students and our students have, in the main, responded enthusiastically by engaging with their teachers communications on the various platforms that the school uses.
At the start of the process, some pupils were a little overwhelmed by the volume of work they were receiving, but as time goes on, feedback we are receiving shows that both teachers and students are adapting well to the new arrangements.
We would encourage all students to continue to keep a reasonable study routine over the Easter holidays. This is especially important for exam classes and most especially for Leaving Cert students. The State Examinations Commission and the Department of Education tell us that they are still hoping to hold the state exams as normal. It is important that exam classes continue to prepare for these exams.
If the current conditions prevail after Easter, we strongly encourage all students to return to your normal school timetable and work with your teachers. Teachers are aware of the extra pressures associated with distance learning and will be as understanding as possible with students.
There are a small number of pupils who have not yet engaged with this process. We will be in touch with you to encourage your children to engage with their teachers, because it is very important that students continue to cover the curriculum during the period of school closure.
We are a strong school community and if we work together we will emerge from this crisis even stronger and better equipped to face the challenges ahead.
Finally I would like to wish you all a happy and safe Easter. We pray that God will bless our school community, keep us all safe and continue to guide us in these challenging times

We hope that you and your families are keeping well at this time.
A big thank you to all in school community for your solidarity and support, particularly as we embarked upon the journey of distance learning in the past week. While we are well placed to deliver on this project, it is still a huge challenge for all, in these difficult circumstances. Special thanks to our teaching staff for their creativity, dedication and hard work in supporting all their students in their learning in this new environment. Initial reports show that the overall experience for students and teachers has been generally very positive. We hope that we can build on this positivity and continue with the good work during this period of school closure.
Thank you to parents/guardians for supporting and encouraging your children to engage in the process. Please continue to do this in the weeks ahead. We would especially ask you to re-emphasise the message of social distancing to help save the lives of the vulnerable in our society from this deadly virus. Please see the quotation below from the Minister:
“We need people to take this social distancing much more seriously, and maybe when we talk about social distancing it's a phrase we're not familiar with. We need people to stay away from each other. We need people to keep their distance, no matter where you are, you should be trying to stay two meters away from other people.
"I quite frankly just don't think people are taking this seriously enough right now, and I really need people to try and redouble their efforts on us."
