Our U14 girls got off to a flying start yesterday in sunny but freezing Castlebar where they took on Davitt College. The girls started off very well taking the first score of the game. This was followed closely by Davitt College leading to a very tight game overall. In the final quarter of the game Davitt College managed to take the lead for the first time and crept ahead by two points. Unfortunately for Coláiste Muire they just couldn't pull it back despite having two goal chances in the final few minutes. A very good game of football and Ms O Malley and Ms Casey are very excited to see what the season ahead has in store for this U14 team. Well done to all involved!

Well done to the Junior Boys Gaa team on beating St Brenadan’s of Belmullet on a scoreline of 3-9 to 4-4.
Even though there was no school today, the boys were committed enough to make the journey out to Bonniconlon for this Semi Final.
This was a highly exciting game, which seen both teams take control of the match at different times of the game. Ballymote ended the game strongly coming back from 3 points to win by 2.

The boys now are in the Connacht final, date TBC for the second year in a row in which they will defend their title.

The U19 boys soccer team were in action today against a very strong Balla Secondary School side (BBS). We needed a result from this game to get through to the QF but it was not to be our day.

The lads put a good effort in but three goals from set pieces left us 3-1 down at HT.  David Lyons with the goal for CMBM.  We started the second half well and great solo work by Luke Scanlon nearly had us back to 3-2, but the keeper made a good save.  BSS controlled the rest of the game and went onto score three more goals leaving the result at 6-1.

Unfortunately that’s it for another year but we have a very young and talented side.  No doubt they will give the Connacht FAI cup a good run next year!

The U19 boys soccer team took the trip out west to Belmullet on Thursday 16/11/2023 to play their second game in the Connacht FAI cup. The game was played in wet & windy conditions and despite a fantastic effort from the lads they came up short. The game finished 4-2 with Cillian Duggan & Calvin Hogge finding the net for CMBM.

We now play Balla, Co Mayo on Thursday 23rd in Ballisodare and the lads will be looking for a result to progress onto the quarter-final.
