1st and 2nd Year Boys Basketball News

This term the 1st and 2nd year boys have taken to the court where they have come up against some tough opposition. Despite training hard and huge improvements the boys teams fell short in their games. This year is all about building and a team and learning many new skills while enjoying the game. All students getting court time and encouraging one another both on and off the court is fantastic to see. The Coláiste Muire boys may not have come out on top this year but the future for both of these teams looks very bright. Well done to Mr Gorham and all involved.

U19 Girls Bow Out at Semi Finals

On Tuesday 24th of January the U19 girls basketball team travelled to Grange Post Primary to play the Regional Semi-Final. The girls had trained hard in the lead up to the big game in hope of coming out on top. Unfortunately it just wasn't their day. With Grange taking the lead by 10 points Coláiste Muire had a battle on their hands to claw back. This didn't phase this fantastic bunch of girls. Every one of the girls from one to fifteen fought to the bitter end. Ms O Malley and Ms O Donnell are so proud of this bunch and look forward to  working with many of them again next year! Well done to all involved.
