Reminder Rugby Training.

A reminder to all 2nd and 3rd yr students that rugby training is on today at lunch time with Emily Mc Keown from Leinster rugby. Any student who wishes to be on a school team for full contact rugby must attend training, students are not allowed play blitzes or any school matches if they have not taken part in training session.

Evening Study starts tomorrow Monday 19th September

Dear parent/ guardian, Just a quick reminder that Evening Study starts tomorrow Monday 19th September . It will begin promptly at 4.30pm and will end at 7.30pm. I will speak to all students taking part in Study at break-time tomorrow in the Concert Hall. Final reminders: It is very important that your daughter has a 2nd lunch/ food with her that she can eat in the canteen between 4-4.30pm as it will be a long day. There is no access to mobile phones during supervised study (6th year may access it for Teams only) Students are NOT permitted to use earpods/ buds etc. Listening work should be completed at home. Roll call is taken at the start of study each night and after the break of study. If you daughter needs to leave study early, this must be communicated prior to the time by email to study@loretofoxrock.ie We hope that your daughter will find this time hugely beneficial to her studies during this important year. Latin/Classics Extra-Curricular

Dear Parents/Students, For students interested in attending the Classics/Latin classes please see the letter attached. We have enough interest that we can run two separate class groups. Students have the option of attending either of these times (either Monday or Friday). Most said they can attend Latin on Wednesday mornings, but there will be a make-up class Thursday lunchtime for anyone who cannot make Wednesdays. Students can try out the classes for the first week, but from the second week we would ask students to commit and we will be taking attendance. For any queries, please contact Mr. O' Sullivan at sosullivan@loretofoxrock.ie.

Chess classes will be on after school tomorrow from 4-5 in E3. Classes are open to all and are for all abilities from beginners to more experienced players looking to enter school competitions.
Irish School (Girls) Junior Championship

The Irish Schools Golf Championships are being played in October. Loreto College Foxrock will be entering a schools team in both the Junior and Senior Competitions. Venues & Dates – from Monday 3rd October – to be confirmed Under 16 on 1 January 2023 (born on or after 1 January 2007) maximum handicap index of 39.9 Under 19 on 1 January 2023 (born on or after 1 January 2004) maximum handicap index of 24.9 (Note amended for this year’s event and dropping down in HI is not permitted) Team of 2 or 3 players In regional qualifying round 2 Net Stableford scores to count The winning team from each area (3 teams in Leinster) will advance to the National finals, which will be played in 2023
