Supervised Study

Dear Parents/Guradians,

We have decided that supervised study will go ahead this evening. The footpaths and avenue have been gritted, but there are still icy patches and there was very little thaw today. We would urge everyone to be careful on the way home from school and study. Have a good weekend.

Todays 1st Yr Gaelic Match is cancelled and re scheduled for Friday 16th Dec at 1. 

Silverpark pitches are closed and not playable.

Good morning, with the icy conditions on the roads, please take care coming up the avenue to the school. While we are salting the footpaths it is still very slippy around the area.
1st Yr C Hockey Match

The 1st Yr C Hockey team have a Leinster league hockey match on Thursday 8th Dec in Our lady’s Grove at 2.30. The Bus will leave school at 1.30 and return for 4. 
There will be NO training for the c team after school.

Hard luck to our Cadette A Basketball Team who lost their recent Leinster Semi by only 1 point. The girls now turn their attention to All Ireland qualifiers. 

Matches - Saturday 3rd December in St Stephens Green.

Senior A @ 10.30 - Meet 10.10 

1sr Ye Training will be on between 9-11. Please come to the hour opposite to your hockey time.

Study Skills Week: October 3rd - 7th

This week is Study Skills Week. This will be a whole-school focus on giving students practical tips and advice in their approach to study. Ms O'Malley has organised for each student to receive a copy of 'Study Skills' (a booklet written by Liam Moroney) from which the study tips for the week will be drawn. The topics we will focus this week are: · Monday: What are study skills · Tuesday: Time Management · Wednesday: Organising and planning · Thursday: Effective Listening · Friday: A recap of the week's tips Every morning tutors will highlight and discuss a topic with their tutor group and this will be supported throughout the day with subject-specific tips from teachers. Our aim is to keep the focus simple and to repeat it regularly throughout the day in order to help embed these skills in our students. We hope these study tips will be a helpful support to students in their learning and we invite parents to look at and discuss the booklet with their daughter over the course of the week.
