A special congratulations to the TY students who participated in our 'What's in the Fridge?' challenge. They were asked to plan and make a breakfast, lunch or dinner using the resources they had available to them. They also researched food waste in Ireland to find out how they could plan use up leftovers to make their dishes. They displayed excellent creativity and innovative ways to combat food waste and make the most of resources they already had. Reminder to all students that you can enter pictures of your baking/cooking/sewing in the ATHE Déanta le Grá competition. Swipe for more details on how to enter.

Dear Parents, There will be no timetabled classes for students this Monday 8th February as all teaching staff are participating in a scheduled Junior Cycle Professional Development training day. . Instead, we will have the school's first 'School Captain's Day'. This is a day in our school calendar where our School Captain, supported by the Deputy Captains and Senior Prefects will ask the whole school community to reflect on an important issue for our student body. This year, our Captain, Louise Hanrahan and the senior leadership team ask us to reflect on student mental health. A meeting is set for each year group with a guest speaker, a psychotherapist, who will explore how student's mental health can be supported. We hope that you all enjoy a chance to reflect and relax next Monday. Students can access this talk on Monday through their Year Group TEAMs. One of the Deputy Principals will be present on all the talks. The schedule for the day is as follows; 9.30-10.00am First Years 10.30-11.00am Second Years 11.30-12.00pm Third Years 12.15-12.45pm Transition Years 2.00-2.30pm Fifth Years 3.00-3.30pm Sixth Years
