Congratulations! Very proud to report that our two entries for the Certified Irish Angus Beef Competition are through to the next stage, their videos were chosen from a large volume of entries. On the 25th of January they will attend an interview in the University of Limerick. Laptops, chrome books, tablets, smartphones, etc. These are exciting times for the recipients, but the key to long-term harmony is for both the parent and the recipients to be educated about best practise online, fully understanding cyber safety and digital citizenship. Ukrainian Themed Spring Flowers

Some of our Ukrainian students planted daffodils and bluebells around the lime tree in front of the school with Mr. cashman: Alesa, Alexandra, Hassan and Sasha. We look forward to seeing the blue and yellow of Ukraine in the Spring.

Girls Rugby Blitz

A Friary first. Well done to the 1st and 2nd year girls rugby team who travelled to Thurles for a blitz last Wednesday. This was a tag rugby blitz organised by Munster Rugby. The girls played very well against Ursline Convent Thurles and Bandon Grammar School. A very enjoyable day was had by all.

Congratulations to Emily Nolan and Lilly Anne Fahey 2nd year, who accepted the Certificate of Excellence on behalf of all our students hard work, for outstanding participation in the Litter Competition for Secondary Schools 2022, from Mayor John O'Leary at the Mayor's Parlour, City Hall. Mr Cashin and Mr Wade accompanied the girls. The school will continue the litter project with a number of class and year groups throughout the school.
