Dear Parents of Second Year Students,
As part of the Junior Cycle Programme, students complete Classroom Based Assessments (CBAs) in most subjects during their second and third year of Junior Cycle. The results of these assessments form part of the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) which is issued to students at the end of their three years at Junior Cycle.
Please see attached the schedule for the completion of CBA 1 for our current second year students. Attached also is a Parent's Guide to CBAs.

1st Year Hockey

A great start to competitive hockey saw our 1st Year A team edge out @mountmercycork by 2 goals to 1 in the Friary today. A fast start saw the girls create a few good chances that we failed to convert. The breakthrough came eventually before halftime when Laura B carried into the circle and placed the ball into the corner of the goal.
A slow start to the second half saw us concede after continued pressure from Mount Mercy as we failed to clear a short corner. A draw looked likely as both keepers pulled off some great saves until with less than 5 minutes to go, Isabelle G was on hand to finish a flowing Friary move started in our own half.
A great team effort as all the panel played their part.
