A brilliant start to the league campaign for our 1st Year Team 2 saw them get all 3 points today against Scoil Mhuire. The team was a mix of experienced hockey players and girls who are new to the sport. Led by captain Aoibhe O’C, our midfield quickly got us on the front foot and created plenty of chances. It was Meadhbh D who got the breakthrough before Orla W added a second. Player of the match was Muireann S who didn’t stop running all game and got the goal her performance deserved to finish off the scoring. 3-0! ️

Niamh Connolly Friary Parents Association AGM
Given the worrying recent headlines about the mental health system's strains, especially for young people, we are delighted to welcome Niamh Connolly as a guest speaker at our AGM. Niamh is a busy Cognitive Behavioural Therapist based locally in Abbeyside. Over the last 12 years, she has taught hundreds of clients how to overcome a wide variety of mental health issues and challenges and helped them reach optimal mental fitness
At our AGM, Niamh will share how to use scientifically proven CBT strategies for managing stress and anxiety, but in practical, easy-to-use ways. These will help with the challenges of parenting teens, as well as improve and safeguard both parents' and teens’ well-being. Given the lengthy waiting list to work with Niamh individually, we are delighted to have this opportunity to hear her speak to us in person and hope you will join us on Thursday, February 2nd, at 7.30 pm.
