Our annual Gaelic Football Blitz took place last Friday and was superbly run by our 5th Year Students. Thank you to all the local schools for coming along and we hope you enjoyed your day! We had a surprise visitor also with the arrival of the LGFA National League Cup and some words of advice imparted by Kerry Selector Anna Maria O' Donoghue - ISK Abú!

Our 5th year Art students did a fantastic job in painting one of the many angels that are on display all over Killorglin as part of Kfest. Be sure to keep an eye out for them over the weekend. Well done guys and your teacher Ms. Power!

Following on from our signed jersey fundraiser earlier in the year the new Quarter zips arrived to lots of happy faces today. Many thanks to all that bought and sold to make this possible, a nice way to finish off the year and they look great

U15 soccer

Congrats to the U15 soccer team who won the Kingdom shield today beating Castleisland CC in the final after topping their group with wins against Gaelcholáiste and Mounthawk. A nice way to finish the year, well done to all!
ISK Dooks Outing on 15th of May

Well done to all our golfers who competed in our school competition in Dooks on Monday 15th of May. The weather was very kind to us on the day and there was a great standard of golf played on quite a testing course with many excellent scores returned. Our sincerest thanks to Padraig and Josephine O Sullivan (parents of Cormac and Fionan in 2C1) on behalf of O Sullivan, Lawlor accountants who sponsored our prizes most generously on the day. It is great to see our golf outings up and running again which will greatly help with the promotion of golf in the school.
Junk Kouture City Final

Some of our students who participated in the Junk Kouture competition this year made the long but worthwhile journey up to the 3arena to see this years finalists take to the stage! The crowd was electric with the buzz of music from the DJ before the show began and the cheers as 80 finalists showcased their hard work and efforts by taking to the catwalk. A wonderful time was had by all, with great insights and ideas for next years cohort who wish to participate!

The attendance system in the school is being upgraded from Monday 17th April and we hope it will benefit all the community but please bear with us if there are initial teething problems. Please read through this notification to gain an understanding of how this upgrade will work. All students also will receive further training next week.

 

Going forward the school will only accept forms submitted through the App. Please do not send emails, phone the office or send written notes in the student journal.

Attendance Forms

The School App provides a centralised platform for the digital submission and processing of forms.

 

We would ask that parents please use the digital Attendance Forms here in the App.  These include:

 

Absence Form

To inform the School that your student will not be attending school on a particular day(s).  

 

Late Note

To inform the School that your student will be late arriving at school on a particular day(s).  

 

Permission To Leave

To inform the School that your student needs to leave the school early on a given day.  This request will be reviewed by the School. Parents will receive a personal notification to confirm approval. 

 

Please note that students must strictly adhere to the sign out procedure in the school.  Students will present themselves at the office and sign out on the digital sign out tablet. Parents using the App will receive an alerted notification to inform them that their student has signed out.

 

 

Submission of forms by 08:30 am

 

Please ensure that you submit the appropriate Attendance Form before 08:30 am (at latest) to allow the School time to receive and process your form.  Forms received after 08:30 may not be processed until the afternoon or the next morning.
