Huge congratulations to Zoe Hyde and her rowing partner Alison Bergin who qualified for the World Rowing Championships final today and in doing so, secured their place at the Olympics in Paris next year. What a great achievement, well done Zoe!

Congrats to three of our students who achieved representative honours for Munster Rugby this summer. Arthur Gabbett has been selected for the Munster u-16 training squad, Ava O'Malley played for the Munster u-18's in the Interprovincials and Lily Morris was part of the Munster development squad. Well done and best wishes to you all.

We are looking forward to welcoming our 1st years to the school for the first time tomorrow. Best of luck to you all as you begin your journey through secondary school. Just be yourself and be sure to bring a smile with you.

Given the rising temperatures, tomorrow will be a no uniform day in the ISK. Dress apropriately. Remember to put on your suncream and drink plenty of water.

There are two spaces that have become available for the second year to Spain (October 16th-19th). These will be allocated on a lottery basis. If your child is interested and has your permission please get your child to  let Mr Moynihan know by 11am break tomorrow Friday 8th September.

1st year Seefin trip

A reminder of a few things for the 1sy years for tomorrow's trip to Seefin:

  • Wear comfortable footwear
  • Wear comfortable clothes (tracksuits, leggings, shorts etc.), bring a light rain jacket as there might be a shower or two (no need for heavy jackets as the temperatures will be high)
  • Bring lunch and plenty healthy snacks
  • Bring plenty water, don't bring fizzy or high energy drinks
  • Bring suncream and a hat 
  • Please bring a note if students are being collected in Glenbeigh after the walk
