The final of the ISK Junk Kouture 2023 entries is “Blooming Brutality” designed and created by 5th year students Holly O’Sullivan, Robyn Landers and Sarah Lynch. This design is constructed from shower loofas, an old bed sheet, Shein packaging, old fairy lights and lots more! It is a commentary on the damage that plastic is having on the environment. The second of the ISK Junk Kouture 2023 entries “Queen of Hearts”, designed and created by 5th year students Jake Waterman, Ella Gamble O Sullivan and Rebecca Purcell. The skirt is constructed of an old bed sheet, hula hoops and an old Irish dancing skirt embellished with newspaper fans. The top is can tabs crocheted together to create the top. That exciting time of year again – Junk Kouture submissions! Here is the first of the submissions from our school this year, “Florence” designed and created by 2nd year students Valeria Sanz Carrasco and Sofia Fernandez Garcia. Both our 1st & 2nd year girls lost out to Presentation School Killarney today, hard luck girls, we look forward to our next game.
Munster Girl's Rugby semi-final

A historic day for girls rugby in the school as our senior team became the first Kerry team to compete in the Munster A rugby cup. In the semi-final today, having been level at half-time, our girls played brilliantly but eventually lost out to St. Annes, Killaloe in a very competitive game played in UL. A super bunch of girls who did themselves and their school proud today.

5th year students attended the Ceiliúradh na nÓg celebration in the Brandon Hotel in Tralee today. They presented a project on Lent and attended workshops on spirituality and faith development. Bishop Ray Brown spoke about conservation of the Environment and he presented awards to the students. Fr Philip Mulryne, a former Manchester United football player was the keynote speaker. The ISK students made a valuable contribution to the celebration and a great day was had by all.

Congratulations to two of our Junk Kouture teams who have made it through to the Regional Finals! Blooming Brutality - Robyn Landers, Sarah Lynch and Holly O’Sullivan Queen of Hearts - Ella Gamble O’Sullivan, Rebecca Purcell and Jake Waterman A well done also to our third group Florence who put in a great effort throughout the whole design and creation process too! We wish our teams the best of luck in tomorrows digital Regional Final!
Table Quiz

Reminder to parents and students of the upcoming table quiz  on March 25th! Organised by the Parents Association this promises to be a great night for young and old to work those brain cells! Starting at 8pm in Killorglin Golf Club who are generously providing finger food, tables of 4 are €40 for adults and €20 for students and there will also be a raffle on the night, see you there!!!

The Parents Association are organising a family quiz night on Saturday March 25th, and would be very grateful if any parent could donate a 
prize either for the quiz itself and/or the raffle.  Students can bring prizes into the school office.
