First Year Boys Football

Though they fought valiantly until the end, our 1st Year Boys lost out to a strong Mercy Mounthawk team today in the 1st Year Shield Final, which took place today in Caherslee. Our thanks to all boys who came out to train all year and represented ISK with great pride!

Our 1st years had great fun in the sun today as they finished up school for the summer with sports and a barbecue for students and their parents. Well done to you all in navigating your first year in secondary school. Happy holidays to all our students and staff, stay safe and enjoy the holidays!

Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in the South Munsters Track and Field over the last two weekends. Best of luck to Bartek Zglinski who won gold in the senior high jump with a jump of 1.75m and now progresses to the Munster finals in Castleisland this coming Saturday.

Football Blitz for 1st Year Girls

An exciting day was had by all first year girls who participated in a Munster Football Blitz held in Mallow Sports Complex. Three teams entered, with one team winning a shield, another team came runners-up for another shield taking away silver medals, and the third team made it as far as the semi-final for the cup, but unfortunately lost out in a challenging game. A huge well done to all!

Examination Videos from the State Exams Commission

The State Exams Commission  have prepared a short video which sets out some very important information to candidates in relation to the completion of their examinations. The video contains key messages for candidates including:

  • how they should provide key information on the front cover of their answer books that is essential to ensure their scripts are processed accurately and effectively;
  • and the correct writing instruments that they should use in the examinations to ensure examiners can read their complete scripts.
