Second Year Tour

There are two spaces that have become available for the second year to Spain (October 16th-19th). These will be allocated on a lottery basis. If your child is interested and has your permission please get your child to  let Mr Moynihan know by 11am break tomorrow Friday 8th September.

Best of luck to the Class of 2023 who will receive their Leaving Cert results tomorrow. Be proud of yourselves, keep results in perspective & look forward to the multitude of opportunities that lie ahead!
1st year Seefin trip

A reminder of a few things for the 1sy years for tomorrow's trip to Seefin:

  • Wear comfortable footwear
  • Wear comfortable clothes (tracksuits, leggings, shorts etc.), bring a light rain jacket as there might be a shower or two (no need for heavy jackets as the temperatures will be high)
  • Bring lunch and plenty healthy snacks
  • Bring plenty water, don't bring fizzy or high energy drinks
  • Bring suncream and a hat 
  • Please bring a note if students are being collected in Glenbeigh after the walk

Leaving Cert Results date

The State Examinations Commission has today, announced its intention to issue the 2023 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied examination results to candidates on Friday 25 August. 

 
Guard of Honour

Further to the earlier message (see below) school uniform is to be worn in the Guard of Honour
 
Hello Everyone,
This week our school community was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our past pupil and brother of Ned O’Grady, Jack, RIP. As a mark of respect we intend to hold a guard of honour outside the school on Friday @11.15. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated.

Reminder: the first day for incoming 1st Years is Tuesday 29th August and is a half day from 9am to 12.30 pm.
Leaving Cert Results

The school will be open for students to collect their results on Friday 25th August from 10am.

 

All Leaving Certificate candidates will also have access to their provisional Leaving Certificate

results on the Candidate Self Service Portal at 10 AM on Friday 25 August. Candidates can

view their results and will also be able to save and/or print a Statement of Provisional Results.
Prize Presentation Dooks Outing

Congratulations to Fionán O Sullivan who won 1st prize and to all our category winners from our golf outing to Dooks this year. Fionán will now have his name engraved on the Joesph A O Dwyer memorial shield. A special word of thanks to his dad Padráig who very generously sponsored the prizes for this competition.
