We are two clinicians, each with in excess of 25years experience working with children, adolescents & their families. These young people present with a wide range of mental health, developmental & behavioural needs. In our careers to date we have experience of working with many services (both UK & Ireland) that are being offered to young people & we appreciate the difficulties in navigating and signposting these families to the most appropriate service to meet the needs of the child & family.
In 2023 we developed a Parent Consultation Clinic, piloted in the Killorglin area, with very positive feedback.
The Parent Consultation Clinic offers the following:
● Local Parent Consultation Session (parents of young people 0-18yrs of age)
● Screening and Guidance Service – an opportunity to discuss any concerns in relation to their child/adolescent.
● Evidence based expert advice regarding child development, behaviours and other challenges that arise.
● Signposting and pathway advice to the appropriate assessment and intervention services as required.
We envisage, from our recent pilot that this professional consultation service will continue to address a diverse range of issues in relation to Child and Adolescent Mental Health & Development.
Due to expressed interest, we are offering a number of local GP surgeries the opportunity for this clinic to be a viable option for some of their families seeking direction on accessing the most appropriate local support & services for their child.
Please find further information on the flyer attached.
