53 of our TY students were presented with their Bronze Gaisce awards today at a special brunch in The Bianconi Inn. Our students undertook a range of voluntary work such as beach cleans, working with SVDP, coaching sports teams, learned new skills such as yoga & drum n' dance, carried out paired reading with our 1st year student and they also undertook a kayak, camping and hiking overnight trip all as part of their Gaisce Programme. Gaisce is recognised as Ireland's national youth award and it will be possible for students to attain their Silver Gaisce medal in 5th year. Students can then undertake the Gold award at any time up until the age of 25. This medal is personally presented in Áras an Uachtaráin by our President Michael D Higgins. Congratulations to all on your achievement and our thanks to Hazel Boyle and her wonderful staff for making it such a special morning.

Tomorrow is Epilepsy Ireland's biggest fundraising day of the year. Let's come together as a school community to support this important cause.
Our TY students have been busy rehearsing for the whole-school Siege of Ennis on the hockey pitch – it's going to be a fantastic event. A reminder to the trad group to bring your instruments so we can keep the energy high.
Looking forward to seeing everyone take part and show their support.
