Rearranged 1st year Parent/Teacher Meeting

The 1st year parent/teacher meeting, which was postponed due to the weather the week before lasr, has been rearranged for Thursday, January 23rd, from 4.15 to 6.45pm.
Classes will finish at 3.45pm to facilitate this meeting.
Kerry Schools Cross Country

Well done to all our athletes who competed at the Kerry Schools Cross Country on Friday with some fantastic performances. ISK had a 1-2 in the junior girls race with Ciara Moore taking the gold medal closely followed by Lara O Brien Leahy in 2nd. They were joined by Alice Eagar and Evelyn Bowler to take the team silver medals. Lily Riordan won gold in a very exciting intermediate girls race with Nell Thompson coming 5th in the same race. Joined by Sadbh O Halloran, they also won the team bronze medals. Finally Dara McCarthy won an individual medal coming 4th in the senior girls race. Congratulations to all.
TY and 5th year Options

There will be a presentation in the school on Transition Year and 5th year options on Wednesday January 22nd at 7pm. Parents of current 3rd years and parents of current TYs are encouraged to attend.

DARE & HEAR INFORMATION

To support students who are applying to University through the HEAR or DARE route, a National Information Day for HEAR & DARE will be hosted in Devere Hall at UCC on Saturday, January 11th, from 10 am to 2 pm
No booking is required, simply show up and enjoy.
Staff from UCC and MTU will be available to answer queries about HEAR and DARE applications

School Closed tomorrow Friday

The school will be closed tomorrow due to the expected poor weather. Students have been instructed to bring all necessary books home with them today for the work that they have been given for Friday and the weekend. Online classes will also be taught tomorrow.

"Met Éireann has issued a status red weather warning for the entire country
11am, Thursday 23 January 2025
Status Red Alert: Schools closed on Friday 24 January.
Due to the extreme nature of Storm Éowyn and the threat of multi-hazard weather events on Friday 24 January, Met Éireann has confirmed a red weather warning. Based on this, the National Emergency Coordination Group has advised that all primary and post-primary schools in red warning areas will close for the duration of the red warning.
While the red weather warnings are expected to end between 10am and 3pm on Friday in different counties, schools will remain closed on Friday"
