Jewellery, Piercings etc

Students were reminded again on Friday that the wearing of jewellery, piercings, fake tan, make-up & fake eyelashes are not allowed in the school. Students wearing jewellery, piercings and fake eye lashes will be asked to remove them and then these will be stored safely in the school until the end of the term when they can be collected. Students wearing make up/fake tan will be provided with make up remover wipes and asked to remove it.
Last day of term for our first years

Our last day of term came about all too quickly for our First Year students. We marked this with plenty of fun and games at our end of year BBQ.
We would like to wish all our students happy holidays & look forward to welcoming them back in August.

Well done to Fia, Freya and Sadhbh who are rowing in the National Schools Regetta in London this weekend. They came 3rd in their time trial and now progress to the A Final. Best of luck girls!

Recently our successful entrepreneurial students at the Student Enterprise Final in Tralee handed over their awards to the school which Mr O’Dwyer gratefully accepted and placed into our display cabinet. Well done all!
First Year Boys Basketball

Our first year boys had a fantastic year reaching the All-Irelands which were held in UL last weekend. Our boys won 2 out of 3 group games vs Crosshaven and Malahide but lost out to a strong St Pats Cavan side. They advanced to the A ¼ final losing out to a very strong Coláiste Einide from Galway. We also want to say a huge thank you to PKs SuperValu, who generously sponsored basketball tops for the boys for their trip to UL.
1st Year Girls Soccer

1st Year girls played their first match today against Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí at St. Brendan’s Park in Tralee. The girls played a great game with super goals from Grace Costello, Sadbh O’Halloran and Molly Lucid. Well done team!!

Congratulations to the Women's Junior 16 quad who competed at the National Schools Rowing Regatta at Eton Dorney in London today. The girls raced in the final and finished 3rd overall (out of 29 entries). The bronze winning crew consisted of Sadhbh O Sullivan, Fia O Gorman, Freya Doyle and Chloe O Sullivan, coached by Michael Fleming Jnr. A brilliant achievement. Well done girls!
Parents Information Evening

It was great to see a good turn out at the Drug and Alcohol awareness evening with Gemma Hilario and Lisa Sheehan last night. They gave some excellent information and practical tips to parents on what to be aware of, and how to speak to your child about it. This was the Parents Association’s last event of the year, but they look forward to meeting again in September and will begin planning more events like this for parents for the coming school year. Best of luck to all students in their upcoming exams and enjoy the summer!
