Well done to some of our basketballers today who were representing Kerry in the National Inter- Area tournament. U14 boys: Adam Galvin, Ben O Shea & Paddy O Sullivan. The boys reached the final of the tournament and were narrowly defeated by North Munster in a very exciting game. U17 girls: Sinead Clifford & Mary Kate Smith are through to the next play offs which are to be held in Belfast.

Students Sadbh O Halloran (2nd year) and Amelia Carroll Kelly (3rd year) recently represented Kerry School boys and girls soccer league in Spain, playing teams from all over Europe. Well done girls, a great achievement and experience.

Congrats to our U15 team who are into the Kerry cup semi-final after a hard fought 3-1 victory over St. Michaels Listowel today. Goals from Michael Griffin, Odhran Foley and Sean Doherty. Gaelcholáiste await in the semi final.

Congratulations to past pupils, Jeremiah Landers, Eoin Lynch & Ciaran O'Sullivan who have been awarded UCD entrance scholarships based on their Leaving Cert results. UCD Entrance Scholars UCD Entrance Scholars are first-year students recognised for their academic achievement who have achieved 560 points or more in their Leaving Certificate (or equivalent second level examination). These awards are part of a range of UCD initiatives put in place to recognise exceptional students when they join, as well as those who develop their talents while studying at UCD. Well done gentlemen, just rewards for your efforts!

Congratulations to Lara O’Brien Leahy, Aoife Daly, Emma Sheehan and Dara Sheehan who represented their Community Games Area at the Community Games County Swimming Finals last Sunday in Tralee. Lara O’Brien Leahy U14 Backstroke 1st Aoife Daly U16 Breaststroke 3rd Emma Sheehan U16 Backstroke 4th Dara Sheehan U16 Freestyle 4th Best of luck to Lara, who will now go on to Nationals in Kilkenny to represent Kerry in the Finals in June.
