Lockers

School lockers have been removed to maximise space in the building. As the storage space given by lockers is no longer available, a suitable school bag is vital. A “wheelie bag” or something similar – such as a small family suitcase with wheels – will be very useful, as they alleviate the weight of a heavy shoulder bag for students.

The school is currently being reconfigured to ensure maximum safety for all. Parents and students will be contacted soon re online meetings that will take place before school recommences in September. Given that the latest recommended advice from the Minister of Education is that teachers and secondary school students wear face coverings, similar to those worn in shops or on public transport, when a physical distance of 2 metres cannot be maintained, I would urge that all students who can wear suitable face coverings, please obtain them before September. Exam Fees

Please see below a message from the SEC (State Exam Comission) Leaving Certificate Fees: The closing date for payment of the Leaving Cert examination fee is being extended until after the exams are complete and the results has issued. Junior Certificate/Cycle Fees : Students will not be required to pay an examination fees to the SEC in relation to the 2020 Junior Cycle examinations, the SEC will be issuing a refund to all students who have already paid. There is no need to contact the State Examinations Commission as refunds will be made automatically.
