Wishing you all a happy new year and, as of the moment, we are looking forward to welcoming students back to school tomorrow, 6th January. While we expect to have a number of teachers absent due to Covid -19 restrictions, and a higher than usual number of absent students, classes will go ahead. I would ask that students stay at home if they have any symptoms or are identified as a close contact (see hse link below). Students coming to school must have a face mask and please ensure that they also have spare ones. www2.hse.ie/conditions/covid19/symptoms/symptoms-child/

Dear Parent/Guardian Our Trial Examinations for Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate students will commence on Monday 7th February 2022 and continue for two weeks. Students have access to a copy of the timetable and the examination regulations on the school app/Teams. Students who are sitting the examinations will be coming to and leaving school at times which differ from normal school hours. It is important, therefore, that you be aware of the timetable which your daughter is following. Students are requested to make a contribution of €90.00 towards the cost of the Trial Examinations which are subsidised by the School. Payments can be made online through the Easypayments system on the school website by Wednesday 2nd February 2022. The school subsidises 35% of the cost. The contribution of €90 will help to defray cost of examination papers, correction of scripts as in previous years, and will also contribute toward the official school answer booklets and supplementary sheets, official graph paper and Business Studies answer booklets. These specially printed answer booklets, modelled on the State Examinations Commission answer booklets, were introduced to help students familiarise themselves more effectively with examination conditions and to enhance their chances in the Certificate Examinations in June. I wish your daughter every success in these important examinations. Please note that Supervised Study will not take place during the Trial Examinations. Yours sincerely Deirdre Gogarty Principal
