World Kindness day 2021. Saturday 13th November

World Kindness Day is internationally celebrated around the world. It is based on the idea that if each person shared one random act of kindness throughout the day it would have a huge impact on everyone’s lives. But why stop at random acts of kindness? The latest initiative is all about starting intentional acts of kindness. Each day we all do things in our routine subconsciously that we do with intention. Waking up, getting ready and going to school. As a school community we must all add intentional acts of kindness into our daily routine. These can be as simple as a smile or a quick conversation.
Often, people focus on doing acts of kindness for others. And while this is great and has a huge impact on those around us we also need to remember to act kind towards ourselves. Whether this is giving ourselves a five minute lie in in the morning or giving ourselves a pamper session at the weekend. It is so important to take time out of our own days to be kind to ourselves especially when school gets busy.
This World Kindness Day everyone should try to share an intentional act of kindness with others and yourself.
Remember kindness starts with one smile, one compliment, one cup of tea, one conversation.
