4B enjoy the Epic and GAA Museums

4B had a fantastic day learning about our emigration and sporting history when they visited both the Epic and GAA Museums. The Epic Museum had a wide range of interactive activities where they had the opportunity to learn about the amazing contributions made by Irish people and those of Irish descent throughout the world in a variety of disciplines such as music, medicine and politics. Our guide Aaron in Croke Park gave us a comprehensive insight to the workings of the GAA and we saw the impressive facilities our national sport uses at the third biggest stadium in Europe!

An Introduction to Rainbows for Parents/Guardians – Supporting you to support your child/young person at a time of Bereavement or through Parental Separation/Divorce.
Created : 15 Nov 2022, 1:19 PM
Archived : 15 Jan 2023, 12:00 AM
We are pleased to offer parents and guardians a chance to join Rainbows on zoom to learn more about the great work they do. There is a plan in place to get Rainbows up and running in the school in the very near future,. We will keep you posted.
Rainbows are offering free introductory sessions to parents and guardians. The session aims to tell you about the Rainbows programmes, how they work and how they can support your son/daughter in advance of your son or daughter attending. It is an informal welcoming space to listen – no pressure to speak – questions can be asked at any time.
The focus of every session is on children/young people and is not on adult issues. It explores how children of different ages and stages of development can be affected by what has happened, highlighting what is normal and how attending the programme can help.
Many parents and guardians have attended to date and have indicated how helpful it has been.
The links for these sessions are on the home page of Rainbows Ireland website –

November Remembrance

Throughout the month of November, students and staff in CPC paused to remember loved ones we have lost.
R.E. classes went to the sacred space and spent time reflected on how their lives where impacted by people who have passed.
Students and staff wrote the names of loved ones who have passed on a tag and placed their name on our remembrance tree.
Today, Jennifer Dowling, a member of the Ember Team asked us all to pause, take a moment and remember loved ones who have gone before us and then led us through a reflection.
