Dear Principals/Year Heads/Guidance Counsellors/Transition Year Co-Ordinators,
County Kildare has a long-standing twinning partnership with Lexington, Kentucky, U.S.A. Under the auspices of this partnership, Kildare County Council has for the past number of years operated a student exchange programme.
This programme fosters communication, education, and an opportunity to meet peers living in Kentucky.
This opportunity is available to a small number of Kildare students to ‘exchange’ with a student from Lexington in June/July of 2024. The student exchange is open to students aged 16 years or over who might be interested in participating.
The closing date for applications is Friday 12th January 2024.

Dear students, parents and guardians,
In light of the weather warnings in place and the advice from the National Emergency Co-Ordination Group, classes will start at 11.15am tomorrow, Monday 13th November.
No students can be on the premises before 11am.
This is to allow staff and students time to travel safely to school once the warning has lifted and to allow time for examination of any potential damage.
Please take care travelling to school tomorrow and only do so if it is safe.
6th year exams will proceed as scheduled at 11.15am. 6th years who have oral exams scheduled for the morning will have those rescheduled in conjunction with their teacher.
3rd year MFL morning exam scheduled for 9am tomorrow will take place on Wednesday from 9-11am provisionally. Students will then have classes as normal after that on Wednesday.
I will update if there is any change to the above.
Kind regards
Joe Leonard
