I would like to echo the congratulations expressed earlier by Ms. Groome (TY coordinator) and Ms Fennell (Year Head) to the students who received results today. These students have come through a difficult couple of years remarkably well and had to endure an extra long wait to receive their results today. They are the first group to receive results from the fully reformed Junior Cycle and at first glance the results look excellent with lots of Distinctions and Higher Merits on show. Well done to the students and thank you to the parents/guardians and families who supported them along the way. It was fantastic to see the excitement together in the assembly hall earlier - I hope everybody has a pleasant evening together celebrating their achievement. Kind regards J Leonard

It was a pleasure to welcome back Fred O'Sullivan from the class of 2022 to celebrate his achievements in the Leaving Certificate with a small presentation. Fred, who was joined by his mother, spoke about the routine of study and hard work which led to his amazing achievement of receiving the maximum possible 625 points. Fred's name is now added to the list of Academic Award winners from CPC. Fred is now studying Business, Economics and Social Studies (BESS) in Trinity College Dublin and adapting well to college life. We wish him every success in the future. This week is College Awareness Week in CPC so it was particularly well timed to hear about the transition to university. Currently on display in the school is a snapshot of the many courses the class of 2022 are currently pursuing - we are so proud of them all! Hopefully their achievements will inspire those coming behind them to reach for the stars.
