Intended Date for issue of Leaving Certificate Results 2023

You may have seen the media reports that the State Examinations Commission has announced its intention to issue the 2023 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied examination results to candidates on Friday 25 August. 

The SEC say that the intended Leaving Certificate results day of Friday 25 August is a full week earlier than the 2022 results date. This follows extensive work by the SEC to improve the timeline to the greatest possible degree taking account of all of the factors which feed into the process and ensuring adequate time for extensive checks and balances.

Celebrating 1st Year Success

It was wonderful to celebrate with our 1st years last week and acknowledge the great work and progress they have made since joing our school community last September. Work has continued this week in the form of study and exams, another important part of the school year. The sunshine is providing a wonderful back drop to the last week of the school term, we hope our 1st year students and their families have a great summer break and return to us refreshed for the adventure of 2nd year.

Fantasy Football Winners

Congratulations to our 4 Fantasy Premier League Winners for the 22/23 season. Our winners were Eoin O’Connell (3rd Year), Conor Cremin (2nd Year), Andrew McCaffrey (1st Year) and Donncha O’Connell (6th Year). Each student received a Premier League Football as a prize for their achievement.

The students from our Autism classes were recently invited to an event in Camphill Community in Kilcullen to present our response on the topic of inclusion. Huge congratulations to Lee O'Brien 6L and Logan Lynch 3C on their fantastic presentation on how important inclusion has been to them during their time in CPC. We had a lovely morning and really enjoyed the presentations from Scoil Bhride and Camphill. Well done to all involved.
All-Ireland Champion Cormac Barker visits CPC

This morning our 1st and 2nd Year students were privileged to welcome Past pupil and All-Ireland Champion Cormac Barker to the school. Cormac was part of the victorious U/20 team against Sligo and has also just been awarded with his 2nd All-Star in a row. Cormac answered questions from students and talked about his journey so far and Kildare aspirations for the future. A huge thank you to Cormac for giving us his time this morning.

Our 3rd year students enjoyed an ice cream on Thursday as an end of year reward. 

3rd years students begin supervised block study next week in preparation for their Junior Cycle exams.
