5th Year Technology Class race cars

5th Year Technology students completed their design challenge of building a radio controlled, Micro:bit powered race car during the week.
They paired up to learn more about design, material selection, mechanism research, and advanced Micro:bit coding. They did all this whilst also building on the skills of working as a part of a team.
Once built, we raced the cars around a masking tape lined, classroom race track. The winning car was built by Pawel and Niall. They used a clever gear system to increase the speed of the motors, leaving their competitors in their dust.
Well done to everyone for getting involved.

He highlighted the dangers of online gambling in particular and answered many questions. We thank Tony for sharing his story.
