Following teacher nominations, I would like to congratulate all those who were presented by Mr Leonard with Certificates for Student of the Month, Excellence, Application to Study and Cooperation Awards. Thank you to Ms O'Malley, who assisted in the delivery of the presentation on Spiking Awareness, which is a prominent issue at social events currently. We hope to have increased student awareness and knowledge of this issue and discussed strategies to help our students deal with any situation regarding spiking that they may experience.

THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated on
December 8th. Many people believe that the feast celebrates Jesus’ conception, but in fact
it celebrates Mary’s Immaculate Conception; the fact that Mary was, from the very first
moment of her existence (her conception), without sin, and chosen to be the Mother of
Jesus.
This feast is a holy day of obligation.
Mass is available in Kilcullen parish church 9:30am.

Recycling old batteries and Christmas Cards

After Christmas you might have old used batteries that you’d like to recycle. You can bring them in to school and leave them in the battery collection boxes available in the reception area or in the staff room.
The Green Schools Committee are also recycling old Christmas cards. There is a box available in reception for these.
Just remove any messages or names. Only the picture is needed. They will be used for art projects.
Thank you.

It was a truly special experience for everyone involved and a reflection of our school ethos.
