The process began last October with design and planning of both the venue and menu. The group worked so well together which was evident to all and acknowledged by the standing ovation they received when being awarded their certificates, booklet and congratulations.

4C enjoyed a fantastic cultural trip to Dublin. We started with a fascinating tour of Trinity College where Mark our guide explained the history of the college and some of the many traditions that continue there today. We then visited the National Art Gallery where we saw beautiful works such as Liffey Swim by Jack B. Yeats, The Taking of Christ by Caravaggio and a wide variety of portraits, of which we couldn't agree our favourite. After a lovely lunch and the fastest shopping on record we headed to the Archeology museum on Kildare Street, passing Leinster House en route. We saw bog men, beautiful gold lunas and the Ardagh Chalice. It was a very interesting experience. Thanks to Ms Whelan and Ms Groome for accompanying us.

Well done to our U/16 ladies team who were crowned Leinster Champions this afternoon in Maynooth University after a thrilling victory against Loretto Balbriggan. Both team started the game well kicking four points apiece but once CPC got in front they never looked back and a Nicola Whelan goal ensured that the girls led 1-09 to 0-07 at half time. Balbriggan scored a quick goal to start the 2nd half but CPC responded with 2 of their own from Roisin Cahill and Sophie Ngai. The full time score was 3-14 to 1-15 and all that was left to do was for Captain Hannah Crowley to collect the silverware. Sophie Ngai was awarded player of the game with a personal tally of 1-05. Well done to all of the girls and this is a true reflection of the talent and desire that they all possess. Special thanks to their coaches Ms.Murphy and Ms.Malone. Next up is the All-Ireland semi final with the fixture to be confirmed.
Cars idling - an interesting thought

An interesting observation from a parent and a request to all who visit the school - could visitors please not leave car engines idling whilst they wait? This little suggestion might make people switch off a bit sooner - and thereby improve the air quality and contribute to sustaining the environment in a small way. Thank you.
