In Memory of Marie Morrissey

Thanks to all stakeholders of BCS who attended a Service yesterday evening in memory of Marie Morrissey. Marie worked for 42 years in BCS and St Anne’s of Cappoquin. Thanks to Fr Michael, Caroline, Staff, Our Cairde ,Choir , BOM members , Parents’ Council, Our Home Economics Department, Head Boy and Head Girl for their respective contributions. It was wonderful to have the Morrissey family in attendance. Thanks to Maria O’Brien for decorating and lighting the Monastery in Marie’s honour and for coordinating the much appreciated event.

Cake Sale this Friday - Green Schools Committee

The Cake Sale is happening this Friday the 3rd of December at both the junior and senior small breaks. Since the Green Schools committees theme this year is water, we are giving all the money raised to Trocaire's water relief fund. Delicious cakes are guaranteed!!

B.C S Christmas Baking Competition! Date: Wed 8th Dec Time: 1:35 - 3:35pm Rooms: 26 & 27 The competition is open to all Senior Yr students in T.Y, 5th & 6th Yrs . You are invited to bake any item once it is Christmas themed. Great prizes awarded for best entries! To enter sign your name on the sign-up sheet on door of Room 26. You can enter singly or in pairs. So get into the spirit of Christmas, get thinking of your festive design and best of luck!

Debating Club

Due to popular demand we are now running a Junior and Senior Cycle Debating club. All clubs recommence next week after the Christmas Exams. Junior Cycle Debating club held on Monday at 11:59 (Junior cycle lunch) in Room 2. Senior Cycle Debating club held on Friday at 12.57 (Senior cycle lunch) in Canteen area. All welcome.

Green Schools

TYB met with Brid and Nora from Lismore tidy towns recently. We received a very informative talk about edible horticulture and biodiversity in our local area, we aim to work closely with Tidy Towns to help preparing and planting trees and plants in the coming weeks. A large litter pick around the town was also completed. Well done all!
