Today we mark 150 years since the Christian Brothers arrived in Lismore and founded a primary and secondary school for local boys. BCS is located on the site of both schools and we continue to use the monastery building. The roll list for all the boys who attended the Christian brothers can be found on the history notice board between rooms 12 and 14, going all the way back to the very first students in 1871. We encourage all our students to have a look and see can they find their fathers, uncles, granddads and even great grand dads!
First years 1A and 1E proudly show off their projects... judging continues but well done to all first years!

We had a busy start to Wellbeing Week today.
Our TYs had a great day ice skating in Fota.
Our 5th years had a very insightful talk from Margo Noonan of the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit in Cork. A huge thank you to Margo for making the trip to BCS once again. Some of our 5th years also had a fun Céilí in the afternoon. Thanks to Ms Cronin for organising this.
Our first year music class were busy making a Wellbeing playlist with Ms Lane and we had a whole school meditation with Ms Murphy. There are many other events ongoing in many classes. Keep an eye on the timetables on social media and around the school.
Congratulations to Kate Ahern 3rd year who was our Joke of the Day winner-
