Today Mr McCarthy and Mr Murphy presented students with their kindness certificates. Students were nominated by other students and staff members for showing true kindness within the BCS community. Mr Ring spoke to the students about how important it is to spread kindness, congratulated them for being nominated, and reminded them to continue to show kindness to others. Well done everyone! If you can be anything in life, be kind.

Congratulations to Rían Duka (first prize), Cian Morrison (second prize) and Regan Pagliaccio (third prize) who were recognised in the TY journalism competition this year. All three students wrote exceptional opinion pieces and feature articles. They are pictured here receiving their prizes from Mrs O’Brien.

If you have filled out a CAO application, you need to check your email and follow the instructions you have received from the CAO. You should have received an email over the last 2 weeks, You need to confirm that the information on your CAO application is correct. This includes checking that your exam number is correct. It was the boys turn this week at the East Munster Schools Track & Field event in Templemore today. Huge congratulations to Fionn Schurmann - 1st in Junior Long jump Stephen Roche and Shane Cronin - 2nd and 3rd in Senior shot putt respectively Jack Griffin - 3rd in Senior 110m hurdles Senior 4X400m relay team - 3rd All of the above have qualified for the Munsters in Templemore on Sat 21st May. Well done to all who competed today who also achieved a number of pb’s. Congratulations everyone!!
Journalism success at BCS

Huge congratulations to Tia Kenneally, TYB, for her recent success in the national PressPass journalism competition. Tia received first place in the ‘photojournalism’ category, for her fantastic photograph taken on Youghal beach entitled ‘The Crow’. We are very proud of her achievement and for representing our school at the awards ceremony in the Aviva Stadium.

The U15 hurlers are heading to Cappamore in limerick today for Munster Under 15 semi final and final been run on same day semi final is Blackwater versus Castletroy (11.15 throw in) winner will play Rochestown or Rice College Ennis in final at 1.30 all support would be welcome. Parents who are driving players to match are meeting at the school in the morning @ 9am.
